Britain's Got Talent's Lucy Kay: 'I was living in the past before this'

"I feel a lot more confident," she said. "It's like I've gone through stages and I've come through and I'm now this confident person and there's been this change.  "And I think I'd always been living in the past of worrying what had happened and I was being quite down about it, but since I've come on the show it's made me realise that that did happen, it happened for a reason, because I wouldn't be singing today or be on the show - I wouldn't have gone through last night had I not been singing! I do feel a lot more confident so hopefully in the final I'll be able to express that." Kay - who explained that the "confidence boost" she got from winning her semi-final will help her deal with her nerves - admitted that she was close to crying after her performance last night. "I was holding it in!" she joked. "I had bets on it. I said, 'I'm not going to cry' and people were going, 'I think you will', so that was going through my mind as well - 'Don't cry!' I'm known as the crier, that's all I've done. | |
